Maricar Reyes literally got the face of an angel. Coming from a respectable family, Maricar graduated college as a medical doctor and she is in fact a practicing doctor.

With her beauty and natural talent, Maricar tried showbiz and started as a commercial model. She ventured and became successful with it. Maricar was seen in some TV commercials and in prints.

Then a bigger offer came that further boosted her popularity in Philipppine TV. Maricar was casted in an ABS-CBN primetime telenovela "I Love Betty La Fea" and her acting and beauty caught the attention of the viewing public. Maricar's star was starting to shine brightly.

But then came the shock of her life and career. A sex video scandal involving her and her ex-boyfriend fellow doctor Hayden Kho Jr. proliferated in the internet and in some video retailers. Maricar was one of the many women whom Dr. Kho had a relationship and had video taped some of their sensual moments.

The scandal was the talk of the town in the Philippines and in some other parts of the world. The scandal involving Katrina Halili even reached the senate of the Philippines and has been a hot media item for a long time. A lot of people was involved in the scandal until Katrina's camp filed complaints in the Philippines' courts against Kho and her mother, who was later got herself involved in the scandal.

But despite the buzz of the scandal, Maricar stayed silent on the issue and continues to work, in showbiz and as a physician (beauty doctor). In fact, unlike Katrina, Maricar has 2 sex videos that were distributed in the internet. But Maricar didn't bothered herself on the scandal. As of this writing, Maricar has yet to say about the scandal involving her.

As a result of her being silent, Maricar was given more projects by her mother studio, ABS-CBN. With the heart of being true Kapamilya, ABS-CBN kept Maricar busy by giving her assignments in TV, movies and some out of town engagements.

Maricar was first given assignments as guest in some ABS-CBN programs during the height of the sex scandal. First, she was featured in "Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Bud Brothers"  in its Book 8 titled "Bewitched, Bothered, Bewildered" In the said program, Maricar's acting skill was tested in drama and many critics lauded her in her performance.

Next she wsa guested in ABS-CBN's numer one program in primetime "May Bukas Pa" where she played the role of a bewildered woman. It was a very challenging role and Maricar portrayed it with fying colors.

After just being guests in various TV programs, ABS-CBN decided to give her her first lead role in "Your Song Presents: Gaano Kita Kamahal" which became her biggest break at that moment. Again, she wowed not only the televiewers but also the executives of the Kapamilya network with her performance.

Due to her excellent performances in her past Tv shows, Maricar was chosen to star in the local remake of a Koreanovela "Lovers In Paris" where she portrays the role of the girlfriend of the leading man Piolo Pascual. Other cast of the telenovela is no other than KC Concepcion and Zanjoe Marudo.

As of this writing, Lovers In Paris is doing well in the TV ratings and the presence of Maricar's character gives more color to the storyline.

Maricar Reyes has already debuted in movies. Just recently, she starred in a box office hit movie titled "And i Love You So" with Bea Alonzo, Sam Milby and Derek Ramsay.
